Scheduling
Locations - please select the location that is most convenient for you!
- When schedules of both parties permit, students will be given a regular lesson time to attend. Although a regular time is preferable, it is not always possible.
- Lesson cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the lesson. Exceptions to this are illness, emergencies, or by teacher discretion. Failure to cancel 24 hours prior to the lesson under normal circumstances may still require the student to pay the lesson fee or forfeit a make-up lesson during the same week.

Testimonials - see what others have said about my teaching style:
- "Sarah gives my daughter weekly lessons at out home which is very convenient and affordable. My daughter is showing tremendous improvement." - John F., Parent of 6th grade horn student
- "One of the most difficult things about teaching an art form such as music is to simultaneously pass on a tradition- a universal standard of technical proficiency and musicianship- and also maintain a sensitivity to the learning needs, the playing strengths/weaknesses, and goals of the student. Specializing in helping students break through tough technical barriers, Sarah teaches the skills of horn playing in a way that caters to the need of the student while also never losing sight of the cornerstone of tradition. Her teaching is of course very much informed by her own experiences with her past teachers, but Sarah has always been and is a critical analyst of the methods she comes across. Only after thoughtfully considering a particular method will she then use that in her teaching and this is of immense benefit to the student. This also happens when a student discovers something on their own: Sarah will look closely to ensure that the method is helping rather than hindering. Many times I have mentioned my own discoveries and Sarah has always taken a focused consideration to my ideas in a way that is pragmatic and honest without being in any way dismissive or condescending. I cannot stress how important this is: it encourages creativity in the student but also provides honest feedback. She's a committed and knowledgeable teacher, there's not much else one could ask for." - Jeremy Johnson, Former colleague (conductor and horn player)
