About Me
I am a freelance horn player and teacher currently living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I am a member of 414 Brass, Five's Company Woodwind Quintet, & North Point Brass Quintet, and I have performed with groups such as: Green Bay Symphony Orchestra, Kenosha Symphony Orchestra, Festival City Symphony, Kettle Moraine Symphony, Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, Arkansas Shakespeare Theater Pit Orchestra, Conway Symphony Orchestra, Conway Chamber Orchestra, and several chamber ensembles.
Additionally, I have performed at Madeline Island Music Camp (Wisconsin), Burgos Chamber Music Festival (Spain), 39th International Horn Symposium (Switzerland), Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp (Michigan), Kendall Betts Horn Camp (New Hampshire), and the 39th International Horn Symposium (Alabama), as well as several other Mid-South and Southeast horn workshops. I have performed in masterclasses for Dave Wakefield, the American Horn Quartet, Bernhard Scully, Fifth House Ensemble, Bruno Schneider, Gail Williams, Kazimierz Machala, Kendall Betts, Randy Gardner, Richard Mackey, Abby Mayer, Ted Thayer, Richard Todd, and Eli Epstein.
I earned an MM in Horn Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a BM in Horn Performance from the University of Central Arkansas. My principal teachers were Gregory Flint, Dr. Brent Shires, and Darrell Smith. I just re-entered school at UWM, working toward a Master of Science in Management - Accounting degree, where I hope to work for musicians and other performing artists.
When I am not playing the horn, I enjoy decorating projects around the house, traveling with my bassoonist husband Josh, volunteering at the Mitchell Domes, and entertaining our cats Luke & Leia, as well as the rest of our zoo.
